Econvergence Scholarship Application Instructions
The majority of the sessions at the Econvergence Conference will be open to the public free of charge. Two sessions will be ticketed events due to the limited seating available. The ticketed events will be Noam Chomsky’s talk on Friday evening, October 2nd and Derrick Jensen’s talk on Saturday evening, October 3rd. Tickets for these events are available on a sliding scale basis as follows:
Noam Chomsky tickets:
- $20 student/low-income ticket
- $40 regular ticket
- $60 supporter ticket
Derrick Jensen tickets:
- $10 student/low-income ticket
- $20 regular ticket
- $30 supporter ticket
The conference committee wants people from all walks of life to have access to these important speakers regardless of income or ability to pay. If you are unable to pay even the lowest rate for a ticket to these events, we have a limited number of scholarship tickets available. Please note that scholarship tickets do not guarantee a seat in the main auditorium – scholarship ticket holders will be seated in either the main auditorium or a secondary auditorium with a live feed of the speaker on a first come, first serve basis. If you are awarded a scholarship ticket, we advise you to arrive early for a better chance of being seated in the main auditorium.
Please complete the application below to request a scholarship ticket to one or both of these events. Scholarship applications will be accepted until September 25th, but please apply early as we do expect to run out. Please cut and paste the application below into an email and return your completed scholarship application to econvergence.program@gmail.com with “Scholarship Application” in the subject line.
